As we continue to celebrate Women’s History Month, I hope you checked out our first two women in business feature stories. As we close out this series, I’m pleased to feature a remarkable woman who guides businesses and leaders in discovering where their purpose meets profit. Laurel Pendle uniquely combines dedicated marketing and communications strategy to create impactful results. She is a marketing and communications expert, a certified mental health coach, and the consultant behind LPBC Services LLC. Laurel focuses on supporting individuals, entrepreneurs, and leaders of both large and small non-profits.


Michelle: Thanks so much for sharing your entrepreneurial story with us. What is LPBC Services LLC?


Laurel: LPBC Services LLC is a female-owned leadership and marketing consulting agency located in sunny Arizona. I’m passionate about helping busy business owners, stressed entrepreneurs, and overwhelmed executives identify the root causes blocking their growth, visibility, and profitability. This is where business consulting, marketing, and purpose-filled leadership strategy intersect.


Michelle: Why and how did you form LPBC Services?


Laurel: For decades, I served as a high-level corporate sales and marketing professional. I navigated the complexities of Fortune 100/500 companies, nonprofits, and global organizations. My formal education and life experiences allowed me to create successful sales, marketing, and public relations strategies. My management background in hospitality and the Tour & Travel Industry was significant, as I launched a meeting and event business that took me around the world.


On paper, it was a successful career. However, behind the titles and achievements, I felt exhausted, burnt out, and unfulfilled. I realized that success alone wasn’t enough; I longed for freedom, meaning, and the ability to live life on my own terms.


This realization became my turning point. I transitioned from the corporate world to embrace my calling as a serial entrepreneur, business owner, and mental health executive coach. In 2018, Laurel Pendle Business Consulting Services (LPBC Services) was born.


Michelle: Is there one thing that you feel makes your organization unique compared to others in the marketplace?


Laurel: What sets me apart is my ability to blend strategic clarity with heartfelt purpose. I don’t just look at what’s going wrong—I uncover why it’s happening and help you move forward with intention, balance, and renewed vision.


Michelle: What words of wisdom do you have for other entrepreneurs, self-employed individuals, or freelancers?


Laurel: Reflecting on my life and career path, I believe the following three values and qualities have made all the difference:


  1. Character: I approach life and business from a place of inner strength, resilience, courage, integrity, and truth.


  2. Intentionality: I design plans and processes that are purposeful and deliberate. This helps guide clients to see future results that matter to them. I apply this in my personal life as well.


  3. Heart-Centered Approach: I treat our clients and partners like family. I aim to be open, direct, and honest to build authenticity and transparency in our communications and business practices, just as I do with my own family and friends.
