Spotlights Series: Inspiring Journeys of Women Entrepreneurs - Part 3

As we continue to celebrate Women’s History month, we hope you checked out our first two women in business feature stories. Last week we highlighted Lisa Schoenthal from Breath of Freedom Experiences. Lisa’s calming and confident way exudes as she shared her story – if you missed it be sure to get caught up here.

As we close out this series, I’m pleased to feature a woman who uniquely guides businesses and leaders into seeing where their purpose meets profit in the most impactful way possible through dedicated marketing and communications strategy. Laurel Pendle is a marketing & communications expert, certified mental health coach, and consultant with LPBC Services LLC focused on supporting individuals, entrepreneurs, and leaders of corporations, non-profits both large and small.

Michelle: Thanks so much for sharing your entrepreneurial story with us. What is LPBC Services LLC?

Laurel: LPBC Services LLC, a female-owned leadership and marketing consulting agency located in sunny Arizona. I’m enthusiastic about helping busy business owners, stressed entrepreneurs, and overwhelmed executives get to the root cause of what’s blocking the flow of growth, visibility, and profitability in their organizations; this is where business consulting, marketing and purpose-filled leadership strategy intersect.

Michelle: Why and how did you form LPBC Services?

Laurel: For decades, I served as a high-level corporate sales and marketing professional, navigating the complexities of Fortune 100/500 companies, nonprofits, and global organizations. I was able to use my formal university education and life skills to create successful sales, marketing and public relations strategies, and campaigns. My management background in the hospitality and Tour & Travel Industry was significant, as I was able to launch a meeting and event business that took me all around the world.

On paper, it was a successful career—but behind the titles and achievements, I was exhausted, burnt out, and unfulfilled. I realized that success alone wasn’t enough; I longed for freedom, meaning, and the ability to live life on my own terms.

That realization became my turning point for something more purposeful. I transitioned from the corporate world to embrace my calling as a serial entrepreneur, business owner, and mental health executive coach. In 2018 Laurel Pendle Business Consulting Services (LPBC Services) was born.

Michelle: Is there one thing you wish other entrepreneurs or business owners had shared with you prior to starting your business?

Laurel:  What sets me apart from other leaders is my ability to blend strategic clarity with a heartfelt purpose. I don’t just look at what’s going wrong—I uncover why it’s happening and help you move forward with intention, balance, and renewed vision.

Michelle: What words of wisdom do you have for other entrepreneurs, self-employed, or freelancers?

Laurel: Looking back on my life and career path, I believe the following three values and qualities have made all the difference:

1. Character: I approach life and business from a place of inner strength, resiliency, courage, integrity, and truth.

2. Intentional: I design plans and processes that are purposeful and deliberate to guide clients to see future results that are important to them. I do this in my personal life as well.

3. Heart-Centered: I treat our clients and partners like family. I aim to be open, direct, and honest to build the same sense of authenticity and transparency in our communications and business practices that I do with my own family and friends.

If you are new to your role or just starting out as a business owner, I would encourage you to explore your unique skills and talents and the reason(s) behind the WHY of what you do. This will help you on the journey of fulfillment, purpose, and creating your life’s work.

I believe sustainable growth—personally and professionally—comes from a healthy foundation. The best businesses and leaders don’t just chase profits—they cultivate impact, embrace an abundance mindset, and leave a lasting legacy.

Michelle:  Who is your ideal client and how can you support them?
